Watch this 6-minute video where Les Rhode from Stommper Net explains how the "no follow" technique can increase your search engine position simply by adding a few tags to your homepage. This works especially well for sites with many pages linked from the homepage, like Hammocks.com as you'll see in the video.
The bottom line is...why do you need to send PageRank, or link popularity, to your non-money pages? Well, you don't, as Les explains in this video. But most people do and they aren't even aware that they are starving the pages that they actually want to get ranked in the engines.
